The development of SPEIT master’s degree holders in the last three years or so. 82% of them have gone to the job market, who have been popular in both Chinese and foreign businesses thanks to their engineering expertise and foreign language skills, employed mostly in the hi-tech, advanced manufacturing and financial industries mostly by such companies as Tencent, Huawei, Intel, Alibaba, SenseTime, IBM, ByteDance, Norinco, CSIC, COMAC, PATAC, NIO, SPIC, Envision, Accenture, PwC and Deloitte. The remaining 18% have continued their studies for doctoral degree programmes at some of the world-renowned universities such as École Polytechnique, the University of Pennsylvania, the University of Texas at Austin and the University of Waterloo.

The intensive courses of SPEIT laid a sound foundation for me in science and engineering and the freedom in course selection allowed me to expand my interests. Furthermore, the Chinese-English-French trilingual teaching system broadened my visions, and enabled me to communicate freely with people from various countries and regions in the workplace. The unique dual degree program of SPEIT rendered me the opportunity to further my study in France. The oversea study for nearly two years taught me the state-of-the-art knowledge and technology in the professional field. With emphasis on industry practice, SPEIT arranged three step-by-step internships that could be carried out at home or abroad at my own discretion. Those experiences contributed a lot to my successful job application. All in all, my life at SPEIT was full of passion and challenges. As a SPEITer, I feel deeply happy and proud!

The six-and-a-half years of study at SPEIT laid a solid foundation for me in professional knowledge, exercised my rigorous and pragmatic scientific thinking, and cultivated my open and inclusive international vision. At the postgraduate period, the mentors from both business and academic circles not only taught students the state-of-the-art knowledge and technology, but also offered abundant employment and further-study opportunities to the students of SPEIT. During the graduation season, I chose to join Microsoft as an intern in the second year of my postgraduate program. In September 2020, a brand new cloud service product, the achievement of my two years’ work, was successfully launched. I am grateful to SPEIT for the training experience, and also happy that I got the opportunity to apply what I have learned and contribute to the world's cutting-edge cloud computing technology.

As a student of SPEIT, I worked hard in my studies and achieved a GPA of 3.96 at the undergraduate period. I successfully obtained the sponsorship of the China Scholarship Council to study at ENSTA PARIS for a dual degree program. The oversea experience offered me an opportunity to develop and use my talents. I actively participated in Sino-French cultural exchange activities at home and abroad, served as the secretary of Association amicale Franco-Chinoise de ParisTech, and as a volunteer backbone of the Sino-European Entrepreneurs Summit. I will never forget the trust of the country and the school, and will constantly remind myself to confront challenges, break through myself, and fulfill the mission conferred by the times.

Thanks to the six-and-a-half years of study at SPEIT, I have mastered fundamental professional knowledge and developed profound friendship with classmates. I am particularly grateful to Shanghai Jiao Tong University and SPEIT for offering me an international platform and high-quality courses, which cultivated my ability to learn by inferences and analogies, left a strong mark on my experience, and helped me stand out in the PhD application. I am also grateful to the teachers for their guidance and instructions. After graduation from the master degree program, I will go to France to continue my doctoral studies, and when I return, I’ll contribute myself to the development of China. Finally, I wish SPEIT a brilliant and prosperous future!
