Features of talent development
Chinese-French instruction，close collaboration with the business community in line with business demands，aimed at nurturing versatile, pragmatic and excellent engineers and business leaders with international vision that are adaptive to economic and social development.
Faculty team
65% of the full-time faculty members are French, 80% of the core courses are taught by faulty members from Jiao Tong University and four French partner schools, and 20% of the courses are taught by R&D experts from enterprises.
Overseas exchange
All students will be offered an opportunity to study or practice through the oversea exchange program for at least six months, up to the dual-degree exchange program of 2.5 years, and the students are not required to pay additional tuition fees for such program.
School-Enterprise Interaction
SPEIT maintains close and good interaction with the industry and maintains good cooperative relations with more than 30 well-known enterprises both at home and abroad.

SJTU Paris Elite Institute of Technology
To respond to the call for implementing the Plan for the Education and Development of Excellent Engineers, a project of major reform set forth in the Outline of China’s National Plan for Medium and Long-term Education Reform and Development (2010-2020), and to prepare elite engineers for social development in the future, Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) co-established the SJTU ParisTech Elite Institute of Technology with the French ParisTech in 2012 after obtaining approval from China’s Ministry of Education (MoE).
